I’m not sure if you all know, but I actually have a day job alongside running Accessory Freaks.
During the day I’m a Scientist at Anthony Nolan and during the evening I transform into a jewellery designer…haha from one extreme to the other, right?
So, Anthony Nolan is a charity that saves the lives of people with blood Cancer such as Leukemia, by matching them to people willing to donate their blood stem cells for lifesaving transplants.
Recently Anthony Nolan started a campaign called GET10 to try and recruit 10,000 men aged 18-30 to their register this summer. But PLEASE that doesn’t mean that if you don’t fit into that category you can’t register. They still need both males and females between the ages of 18-40 so please visit the website and get your kit.
The reason they need 10,000 men between 18-30 is because they are more likely to be chosen to donate, and they currently only account for just 12% of donors on our register. So that’s why they need more MEN!!!
They have recruited 4,872 of their 10,000 target…so almost half way. You can help to recruit more people too.

To become a donor its really simple…all you have to do is spit in a little bottle…no blood or needles! Simples!!
