I recently travelled to Dubai and of course had to visit At The Top observation deck at the Burj Khalifa- it’s an absolute must-visit for anyone visiting this beautiful city.
Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest building in the world, standing at over 828 metres and 160 stories. The At The Top observation deck located on the 124-125 storey offers breath-taking views of the city, I must warn you if you have a fear of heights it might not be for you. There were a few people at the top that didn’t think this through and had panic attacks.
We opted for a day visit but there is an option to go at night and I can imagine it being super stunning at night when the city is lit up. We arrived at 10am as we wanted to get wrapped up before 12pm when it starts to get a little too hot. On way to the elevator to the viewing deck they have lots of information about the building and how long it took to build which was really insightful. Getting to the lift from the entrance took longer than it did to get to the 124th floor in the lift, it took exactly 69 seconds (i timed it), it was super-fast and smooth.
Just a word of warning the observation deck on the 124th floor is open top so be warned to wear sunscreen as it gets super-hot when the suns directly on you. The good thing is you can come indoors and cool off and then head back out again.
The highlight of the visit was of course the panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline. It was great to see the city from such a unique perspective. When I walked out onto that deck my jaw dropped. We spent quite some time on the deck taking in the views and trying to get some good pictures. It was super busy so you do need to be patient. I would suggest to set aside about 90 minutes for your visit. On the 125thfloor there is a shop where you can pick up a variety of merchandise, from magnets to mini Burj Khalifa statues.
If you’re in Dubai the Burj Khalifa At The Top observation deck visit is a must. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that showcases the beauty of Dubai, and it’s sure to be a highlight of any trip to this incredible city.
I would recommend to book your tickets ahead of your trip so at least a few weeks in advance, as the tickets sell out fast as it is one of the top things to do in Dubai. On the day we were visiting there were no tickets for the next 2 weeks so don’t leave it till you get there.
Tickets can be booked via At The Top website.
I would recommend the tickets that covers level 124 and 125, The cost of the ticket is 169 – 244 AED for adults (12 years+) and Child (4-12 years old) 134 – 154 AED. The price varies and is more expensive in the evening.
Big thank you to Emaar for hosting us, we had an amazing visit and can’t wait to come back.
