So, by the looks of things you’re planning a trip to Istanbul, I’m super excited for you.
I visited Istanbul in November and had the best time. It is rich in history, culture and some of the best food I’ve ever had. It offers some of the most breath taking views you’ll ever see and the architecture will leave you feeling transported to another world, as if you’ve been transported through time and space to a place of wonder and awe.
And one of the best places to experience these views is at the Seven Hills Restaurant rooftop terrace which is located in the heart of the Sultanahmet district.
Seven Hills Restaurant not only offers great traditional Turkish food and drinks it offers panoramic views of Istanbul’s skyline, you can see the Sultan Ahmet Mosque (also known as Blue Mosque), Hagia Sophia and the Bosporus Strait. Sranding on the terrace and looking out you will have Sultan Ahmet to the left and Hagia Sophia on the right, I would suggest to visit an hour before sunset. I’ve popped a picture in below which i captured with my 360 camera. There is something else that makes this location unique, the opportunity to feed the birds and capturing that Instagrammable picture or video. The sky is full of seagulls and pigeons looking for food and they know now that Seven Hills restaurant is the spot. The restaurant staff gather all the scraps of fish from customers plates and leave it to one side for visitors to feed the birds. Just be careful you don’t get pooped on.
There is no charge to visit the terrace but I’d suggest to grab yourself a table and at least grab some drinks and take in the views before you head to the terrace.
Seven Hills Restaurant rooftop terrace is a must-visit for anyone looking for stunning views, great food, and a unique experience. Make sure to add it on your itinerary, you won’t regret it.
