Jessie J Goes Ribena Berry

So come on, hands up who likes J-J-Jessie J’s new ‘Ribena’ inspired look?! No really, it was inspired by Ribena, she tweeted so herself, ‘Erm who has seen the colour of ribena cartons?… The purple at the top :)’ (sic)

It’s a bit of an unlikely hair inspiration, but her new look has already received mixed reviews with some loving it and others not so much, but like Jessie says, ‘haters gon’ hate’. This was later followed by ‘PURPLE HAIIIRR!!! My flash sucks! 🙂 what d’ya think?’ (sic) along with an a sneaky picture to her eagerly waiting followers.

Sometimes a girl just wants to experiment with her hair – usually following a broken heart – but in Jessie’s case it’s a broken bone. It’s a fact of life.  After suffering a double fracture to her leg, Jessie, who never likes to play it safe in the fashion stakes, came back with a drastic hair makeover. Keeping her signature sharp bob, block fringe and super shine, the ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ singer teamed up with the London via Australia hairstylist, Lyndell Mansfield, who transformed her into this amazing, vibrant, Ribena-berry!

Lyndell, one of the most sought-after hair geniuses in the fashion business, describes her work as a mish-mash of vintage, some days really girly, others more boyish, with a mixture of eras, feelings and themes.  Lyndell oozes cool and whimsical charm and has styled everyone from the likes of Florence and The Machine and Lizzie Jagger, to Fearne Cotton and now Jessie J (just to name a few). On Jessie she tweeted ‘Loving all the Jessie J’s,purple hair comments. Makes me feel all warm inside #lovemyjob n artists like @jessiejofficial who let me create!’ (sic)

Jessie first unveiled her new look at the start of the month as she arrived at London’s ITV studios to film her appearance on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man.  Lyndell went along to support, and of course style Jessie, tweeted, ‘@jessiejofficial amazing on @alancarr !! Who’s laughing Now!! Can’t wait for the song,even though I was there!’ (sic)

Personally I think she looks fierce and I’ve always been a fan (or maybe just envious) of her hair. How do you rate Ms J’s violet locks… hot or not?
