Lush Haul

Happy New year all…hope you all had a good Christmas break.

Today I have a lush haul for you. I am a big fan of Lush products and I get super excited when they release their new range of products, especially the ones at Christmas and Valentines. Their products are a little pricey but I have to say they last well and feel great on your skin and hair, so it’s all worth it.

So, just before Christmas I popped into the Nottingham Lush store and picked up quite a few items from the Bonfire and Christmas range. I forgot the lady’s name who helped me around the store but she was so sweet and had so much knowledge about all the products. Also the ladies over at Lush head quarters sent me a few products to try out so big thank going out to them!
Here are the items I picked up. I have to say I got a bit carried away with bath products, so for the rest of 2015 I will be having a lot of baths, i ended up with 7 bath bombs and bubble bars and 3 soaps and shower gels.
Lush Holly Go Lightly (warning: you’ll find glitter in strange places days and days after your bath), Melting snowman, Candy mountain bubble bar (smells scrumptious), Christmas eve bubble bar, Magic wand bubble bar (reusable), Northern lights bath bomb (creates amazing colourful bath), Fizzbanger bath bomb. On to the shower gel and soaps, Rose Jam shower gel, Reindeer Rock Soap, Baked Alaska Soap. New shampoo bar and of course Snow fairy massage bar.

I haven’t got round to using all the bath bombs and bubble bars just yet, but out the ones I have used I have fallen in love with. Candy mountain bubble bar has to be one of my favs as i love sweet-smelling products. If you love Snow fairy shower gel you will love this. Another fav is the reusable magic wand, it creates loads of bubbles and smells great. Think this would be perfect for kids (or big kids) at bath time as it gets them involved and having fun. In love with rose jam shower gel, such a lovely rose smell which is very different to the kind of scents I go for and it’s not too over powering. It foams up very well which is a must for any shower gels or soap for me. Both bars of soap are fab, I tend to keep one in my gym bag as they are so light and there is no risk of it getting damaged and leaking all over my gym gear. As i suffer from dry skin i avoid any items that will dry out my skin and I must say all the lush products i use are moisturising, some more than others.

If you are a Lush fan you will know that they never have sales like other brands and stores do throughout the year. But, they do have an amazing sale once a year on Boxing day. I normally avoid all boxing days sale’s as I just cannot handle all the craziness. The Lush sale is one i always try to get to as i always pickup some great bargains. This time they had 50% off all their Christmas products and i managed to get my hands on a bottle of Snow Fairy and Hot Toddy shower gel and a Santa’s lip scrub. I did try buying products their website but gave up after a couple hours as every page i tried to go on kept failing to open, which was very frustrating.

I don’t think I have to tell you all how much I love Snow fairy, i have featured it in a previous blog post. Hot Toddy has a lovely spicy scent, perfect for the rest of the winter months, then I will be switching over to Snow fairy. It lathers up really well and leaves you and your bathroom smelling great. The Santa’s lip scrub is red in colour and smells of cola. Lip scrubs are an essential part of my winter routine as I suffer from very dry lips throughout the year, which is why i have to use Carmex numerous times a day. It is the only thing I use as it actually moisturises my lips. I have been using the lip scrub 2-3 times a week just to get rid of any dead skin and this product leaves your lips feeling super soft. It also smells so good, i could eat it.

Quick reminder, If you are near a Lush store anytime soon, go check out their valentines collection.
