My New Bedroom

I am currently in the process of decorating my new bedroom, and I am really enjoying it shopping for furniture, bedsheets etc. I love getting creative, sitting back and seeing the final product.

Before the weekend all i had in my bedroom was a white bed and mattress. I’m not sure of the name of the paint on the walls, but its a Almond colour and i have sandy/beige carpet.

So, at the weekend i decided to go to Ikea and see what i could find. I found some GORGEOUS new bed sheets, a bedside table and a lamp. The plan was that the bed was going to be the main feature and everything else would be quite simple. It worked out just right, i could change my bedsheets and change the entire look of the room.

I fell in love with the bed sheets as soon as i saw them. I’ve got so many sets of bed sheets and I really tried to convince myself not to get them…but I just couldn’t resist. They are called Emmie Blom and are made of Satin-woven lyocell (easy iron which is a bonus). I got the super king size set which came with a quilt cover and 4 pillow cases. They were £60, and worth every single penny.
The print is gorgeous…the cutest thing about them is that on the other side of the quilt it has a subtle repetitive print of pink flowers. I like to have the top half of the quilt folded over to show off the delicate print.  LOVE THEM!!!

The white bedside table was £40 and called Trollsta. I decided to get something really simple and wanted something preferably without any draws. The less draws and storage boxes etc i have the better. The more space i have the more rubbish i seem to accumulate.

The bedside lamp was £21, which was a bargain and called Arstid and again is really simple. The pleated fabric on the lamp shade gives it a bit of texture and makes it look a bit more interesting. I am however planning to do a little DIY project on it next week, so I’ll keep you posted.

So, thats where i’ve got to so far. I’m on the hunt for a wardrobe, curtains and a dressing table.  I’m planning to pop into Laura Ashley home this week to see what i can find. If you have any suggestions of where i should go or if you have spotted something that you think will fit in well into my bedroom please drop me an email pam@accessoryfreaks.co.uk or leave a comment below.
