Where are all my Stranger Things fans? We’re all gutted that the season has ended and need a little Stranger Things fix. Well look no further, an immersive experience that will transport you to the world of Hawkins, Indiana, has landed in London, the Stranger Things experience.
The London Stranger Things experience is located at the Troubadour Brent Cross Studios and will be around for a little while and will continue to tour the world, heading to New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Toronto. The experience brings to life the iconic locations, moments and characters from the series.
Ticket prices are as follows, a standard entrance ticket is from £52.00 per adult and from £39.00 for children (5-17) and the VIP admission is from £84.00 per adult and £60.00 for children. The VIP ticket does give you queue jump (don’t think the standard ticket queue was all the big to be honest), a Stanger Things tote bag (which is great quality and massive) along with a gift which was a Dustin collectable toy and not forgetting a free drink at the Upside down bar. Anything else is at an added cost.
I was lucky enough to be invited to visit on opening night and I was blown away by the attention to detail that went into creating the sets and props. As soon as you enter the venue you are transported to Hawkins, everyone working there is in FULL character mode. As we headed in, we were guided to the sleep study. During this part of the experience you weren’t allowed to take pictures or record anything and were asked not to share the experience as not to ruin it for others. As you were queuing you were being questioned and observed as they took notes. I’ve done a lot of improvisation as a kid, so It didn’t take me long to get into character and join in.
After completing this experience and taking part in some studies in the lab we headed to the Mix Tape area where you are transported to Starcourt Mall. From the neon lights to the retro shops, it was like stepping back in time to the 80s. Here we had the opportunity to grab an ice cream at Scoops Ahoy ice cream palour (think it was £5 a scoop), head to the Upside bar and grab a drink (regular cocktails were £13, mocktails were £8), buy merchandise and of course grab some pictures with Vecna and in Joyce Byer’s living room. Basically there’s lots to keep you entertained. There are a lot of pictures but keep scrolling there is more information after them.
Overall, I would say it is an expensive trip but worth it and highly recommend visiting the Stranger Things experience if you’re a fan of the show. It’s a unique and immersive experience that’s perfect for everyone but especially for the die-hard fans and something you’d only want to go to once. I would set aside 3 hours minimum for the experience. This allows plenty time to take pictures and absorb the atmosphere in the Mix Tape area.
Make sure you book your tickets in advance, as they tend to sell out quickly and it won’t be here for long. When it’s gone, it’s gone. If you are driving to the venue, there is a supermarket which is a short walk from the venue and if you pop in to buy something you are ok to park there. This was the advice we were given by someone at the venue so please make sure to check before parking there.
So what are you waiting for? Head over to the FEVERUP website and book yourself some ticktets and head into the world of Stranger Things.
I posted a reel on Instagram from my visit so click here to give it a watch.
Thank you to the team for gifting us the tickets. All views are open and honest.
