Christmas At Wollaton

Christmas at Wollaton

Hey there, so you’re here because Christmas season is around the corner and you’re thinking of what to do? Well, I highly recommend checking out Christmas at Wollaton, at Wollaton Hall in Nottingham, UK. It is a ticketed even and comes at a cost (I’ll list the prices at the end of the post), but as a one-off event for Christmas I think it was totally worth it.

Christmas at Wollaton offers a trail of festive themed light installations within the ground of Wollaton hall. It truly is transformed into a magical wonderland with thousands of twinkling lights, amazing displays and stands where you can enjoy some toasted marshmallows or hot chocolate (not included in the ticket price). It’s runs annually throughout December and is great for all ages and will get you in the festive spirit. Be sure to take your camera to capture the perfect shot for your Instagram account.

If you didn’t know, Wollaton Hall was Wayne Manor in the Batman Begin’s movie. It is a popular tourist destination in Nottingham, with beautiful grounds and deer park that is a great location to enjoy with loved ones. But my fav bit about Wollaton Hall is the Christmas at Wollaton event.

The highlight of the evening was roasting marshmallows whilst watching the light show on the front of the hall which is at the end of the trail. The lights twinkle along to the set music and it was mesmerising. Definitely a unique and unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend and get you feeling all festive.
If you do decide to visit the Wollaton Lights, be sure to wrap up warm, wear walking boots, or trainers you don’t mind getting muddy and most importantly, make sure they’re comfortable as there’s a couple kilometres of walking and will need about 90 mins which includes time to take plenty pictures and videos. There is parking available on site but it is at a cost and can pay by using Ringo. All the stands offering food, drinks etc do take card payments.

Overall, I would definitely recommend checking out the Christmas at Wollaton at Christmas. It’s a magical experience that’s perfect for all the family and could even make a night out of it with friends.
