Detonate Festival is the biggest underground electronic music festival and is held in Nottingham. This year is Detonates second outdoor festival, in previous years it was called Detonate Indoor festival and was held at various clubs/venues around Nottingham. As I’m from Nottingham, there are no excuses for not attending this event. I’ve been going to the Detonate festivals for many years, and have to say it is one of the best nights of the year and soon as it’s over I’m wishing the year away till the next one.
Regardless of who the headliner was this year I was going to go, because even if your fav artists aren’t playing you are bound to have an awesome time. The atmosphere at the Detonate festival is awesome and the event attracts a great crowd.
This year I am SUPER excited, some of you may know I am a huge Hip Hop head and they have not long announced one of my fav Hip Hop artists as the headliner…non other then the super talented Nas (Nasir Jones) and he’ll be performing Illmatic. I saw Nas perform live during his UK tour in 2014 and he is amazing on stage. So much passion and talent…absolutely mind blowing.
And if you’re not into Hip Hop they have a great line up of 40+ artists…its going to be INSANE.
