If you’re someone who spends long hours sitting at a desk, you know how important it is to have a comfortable workspace. Poor work space can have a negative effect on your health, from back pains, tight hips, forward head position to name a few.
I recently moved to a desk-based job and within just a month of being in my new role I saw a drastic drop in my step count and hips were getting unbelievably tight. This is when I knew I needed to make some changes to my set up at home. I already had a small treadmill and started to look into stand-up desks and came across Flexispot and their height-adjustable desks. I was fortunate enough to partner with them to try out their desk and share my experience with you.
The Flexispot desk is a game-changer for anyone who spends long hours at a desk. The electric height adjustment feature is controlled by a touchpad, allowing you to adjust the desk’s height with just the touch of a button. You can even program your preferred standing and seated heights so it’s easy to change from one positon to another. And don’t worry about noisy motors – they’re super smooth and very quiet. Also what i loved is there is a USB socket on the touchpad so you can charge your phone.
I opted for the E7 desk in white 140xm x 70cm and it was easy to assemble (though an extra pair of hands would have been helpful), took me about an hour to put it all together and was straight forward and easy. I did get a little confused when putting on the tray to hold the wires under the table but apart from that it was super simple. The desk is made from high-quality materials and feels sturdy enough to support all of my office essentials. I can comfortably fit my laptop, additional monitor, notepads, office supplies, and even a cup of tea and a few ssnack! One thing that i did like is that the coating on the table is easy to clean, i had some tea stains on there the other day and wiped off without leaving any stains. My little treadmill (doesn’t come with the desk unfortuntetly) but is a perfect addition to for this stand up desk and has been great to switch it up and get some movement in my day. I thought i’d fall all over the place and wouldn’t be able to walk and type but after a few attempts it felt natural. I picked up the treadmil on amazon, click here to check it out, they do have others but this was most suitable for this set up, i’d thought about it when i purchased it because a stand up desk was going to be the next purchase . The things i love about it is, it is small enough and not too heavy to manoeuvre around the room by myself. It goes up to 10km an hour so you can run on it too. However when you’re walking at your desk whilst walking you’ll probably won’t want to go faster than 3.5km/hr. Anything up to 4km/hr you can have the handle bar dropped down, anything higher than 4km/hr you will need to have the handle up for safety reasons.
In addition to its functionality and durability, the Flexispot desk is also stylish, modern and sleek. Best thing is that they come in a variety of colours and finishes, so you can choose the one that best matches your work space decor.
Overall, the Flexispot electric height adjustable desk is a win for me and worth investing in for anyone who wants to improve their workspace and health. They currently have a spring sale on their website that ends on the 31st March, so if you’re interested in this exact desk click here or want to check out their other offerings, click here to visit their website. Trust me, your body will thank you for it!
Thank you to Flexispot for sending me this desk to review. All views are open and honest as usual.
