Krispy Kreme have made my donut dreams come true. They have joined forces with Reese’s to create the Reese’s Peanut Butter donut. I’ve been on the hunt for this donut since the release and they’re always sold out, which has always resulted in a big sad face.
Being a huge fan of Reese’s peanut butter cups I knew I’d love the donut as you’re getting the chocolate icing and the peanut butter you get with a cup, but you also get the bonus of the donut. Well today was my lucky day as they were in stock. I got myself two, haha and I’m not even feeling guilty about it. Everyone needs a cheat day, especially after recovering from a nasty tummy bug!
I cut the donut in half to find the middle oozing with peanut butter. If you are a Reese’s fan you must be drooling. It has a light layer of chocolate icing and a sprinkle of hazelnuts and Reese’s Peanut Butter drops.
I can’t fault this donut, first look at it I thought it might have had too much peanut to chocolate icing ratio compared to the cups, but I was wrong.
I bow down to you Krispy Kreme…you hit the nail on the head with this one.
