Happy Monday everyone, hope you are all well. It is apparently Blue Monday today which is the most depressing day of the year. Well we have a little treat for you today to turn those frowns upside down.

Most of us have over indulged during the Christmas and New Year break, and I have a feeling that the most popular New Years resolution is to lose weight and get fit. For the past couple of months I have been using the Nutribullet to make myself a healthy drink 2-3 times a week, which I sip on throughout the day. When I received the Nutribullet box I thought it was going to be massive, but I was wrong. It is a 12 piece machine and has a RRP of £99. The base is very small and sleek and you can leave it on a kitchen work surface at all times without it taking up too much room. That way it’s always there ready to use and none of that packing and unpacking malarkey! Other plus points are that it is super easy to clean up as the only thing you need to wash is the cup and the blade. I place all my ingredients apart from the liquid (water or almond milk) all ready in the cup on the evening, so all I have to do in the morning is add the liquid, screw on the blade and stick it on the base and give it a whizz. It takes me less minute to prepare it.

It’s a great quick and easy way to introduce more fruit, veg, seeds and nuts into your diet. The machine breaks down the fruit and vegetables extracting all the nutrients from within making it easier for the body to absorb when consumed. The 600 watt machine doesn’t have any problems in liquefying the fruit, veg, seeds and nuts. You won’t get those big pieces of skin or nuts while sipping on your creation.

There are numerous recipes online and I’m sure that there will be a few you like. I have now started to experiment and put my own shakes together but often go on Pinterest and see the kind of concoctions people have been putting together.
